I have around 6.5 yrs of consulting experience with my company and I am in a dilemma if I should wait and hold on to the process patiently or I should start to look for consulting assignments elsewhere. If I leave, that application is getting wasted and I do not know if there are companies who would like to initiate a transfer for it. What should I do ?

talk to whoever sponsored you in the first place. Are they still waiting for you? if not start looking for something else. Doubt the embassies will open before summer... (although heard mexico and panama are still issuing visas)

So I typically don’t answer the EEO questions at the end of applications that ask for race and gender. Lately I’ve noticed companies following up via email for this information after I submit the application. Am I the only one who does this? Does it even matter? Any thoughts on the follow up emails asking for the information after the application has already been submitted?
