As a new mom, I’m hoping to find a role that allows more time for family and a better balance between work and personal life. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Last night, I got a nastygram from a client who basically wanted to forego due diligence in a major buyout we’re helping him with. “Stop requesting documents and just draft me my docs.” But we literally don’t know who owns what right now, terrible corporate records. Is the CFE pretty easy?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Is it bad to be over-utilized? I just did the math and I could charge zero hours this week and take a 3 week vacation after and still be 100% utilized? Is that abnormal?

Does the big 4 ever try to force you to quit with workload? They just keep adding hours to my schedule (over 120% utilization year-to-date) when others in my group are <75% utilization

Can you get fired for having low utilization as a senior? My billable hours this busy season have been much lower than my peers.
