Trying to transition and looking for a general progression of how you would go from essentially zero to entry level job as quickly as possible?

Currently going through the CS50 course to get a very basic introduction. Trying to avoid going back to school but open to boot camps if the community thinks they're with it.

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. When I was a device driver developer with 2 years relevant experience I had got calls from Nvidia and Qualcomm. Unfortunately I wasn't able to crack the interviews back then.

For next 5 years I worked mostly on application development and broadening my exposure. I am not getting even a single call from such companies now.
