The raw knowledge gained is probably of marginal use - and everyone can learn it themselves if they wanted to.
The value is in setting a first impression. By saying ‘Qualified accountant’ or ‘CFA’ to certain people, you will immediately have set a bar for your intelligence and work ethic (whether rightly or wrongly).
I work mainly in FS - so everyone knows what these terms mean, and just makes the intro conversation on your experience, and establishing your credibility, easier.
However this is not a catch all - works maybe 1 in 10 times, so YMMV
