HSBC recruiter reached out to me for a Consultant Specialist role, and I took the behavioral test on Feb 11. Later, they informed me that I had cleared the assessment and scheduled my 1st technical interview (GCB-5). The interview lasted for about 45-50 minutes,I feel it went well. The interviewer mentioned that a few more interviews were lined up this week and that I would receive a call for the second round if I was selected.There is no number to call HR.

What movies are you planning on watching to pass the time?

What would be an appropriate gift if I want to show appreciation to my juniors before leaving the firm to go in house? What about for partner/counsel?

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!
