From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?

Can anyone recommend any resources/certifications for financial modelling? Looking for something comprehensive as I need to learn the skills, while establishing credibility as I wish to work in the industry, but have a degree in mechanical engineering and all my internships were in it.
