I'm looking for a job change for a Business Analyst role and having experience of over 10 years in multiple domain projects.

Certificates: Scrum Fundamental, Agile Scrum foundation and AWS services fundamental

I hate the idea of charging for mentorship and I understand time is money but damn !

Ladies. Would really appreciate your advice.
I'm approaching 40. I would love to get bigger titles with higher income. On the other hand, I also don't want to work myself to the ground to get there.
I'm currently in Human Capital consulting and have opportunities to take some HR director role in the industry which I hope will be less demanding and even allow me to cruise when needed.
But I'm not convinced if I should go back to the industry where it's less flexible (e.g. taking extended PTOs).

What do you think about the fact that academic papers can be cited as evidence of scientific fact?

I mean, it's not like they're wrong, or anything. They're just written by people who are trying to prove a point.

Can any one help me with like what type of questions can be expected in a managerial round for a data scientist role (2.4 yoe).

I feel like the billable hours model with 40 hours minimum of billable hours most weeks (and obvi more during busy season) leads to increased burnout. Like in other jobs w/o a billable hours goal if you had an unproductive day you could call the day a wash and get back to it another day, but for this job you have to work later to make up for it. Or during the slower parts of the year if there was a 35 minimum billable goal and people could work a true 9-5 that would help recharge too.

Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!

Budgeting question:
I use excel to track savings(401,Roth,etc) that I want the YTD to update as I contribute ea month.
Not the best with Excel yet, but I calculate the YTD total by referencing the cell of the prior month and adding to the current months total box- is this the most efficient way to do this? Thanks!
