Hello,
Does it matter who at google is giving you a referral? I have multiple people who are willing to give me a referral but one of them has only been at google for a few months vs the other person has been at google for at least 5 years.

I tried to apply many times in different job site… and up to now i got no response to any of those posted they’re hiring.. 🥲

Has anyone had a recruiter say “hey we’re deciding which candidates we are looking to move forward in the process, so I will be sure to share an update with you early next week!”

• If the hiring manager wanted to continue on with me, do you think I would have already been asked for my next availability, versus saying they’re waiting on other candidates
• if they didn’t want to continue with me, I’m sure I would have gotten a no,versus a “hang in there” type of message

Any tips on assessing if the hiring manager will be a good manager and person to work with?

I've worked largely in the public sector with FI regulators and rusty with information on possible compensation band for this role. I don't want to short change myself. 10+ years relevant regulatory experience plus a Law, MBA, etc education.
