I have an offer from Mercer to join as module lead with 12.5 fix CTC and annual incentive plan which is not clearly mentioned in offer letter. My joining date is 31st October so as per company policy anyone joining after 1st oct won't be eligible for appraisal cycle nor for annual incentive plan..which makes my package 12.5 lacs for next one and a half year.
Not sure if it would be a wise decision, current CTC is 9.08 lacs Mercer

Having worked on both sides of the industry there is a lot to take in and compare here. First thing most companies care about is how outsourcing the recruitment of roles will impact EBITDA and overall revenue vs keeping the recruitment in house. If you can justify going external from a financial perspective that is a huge hurdle. Also balancing the time to fill and overall expertise of your in-house teams are important.
If you’re working with very niche skill sets or only inbound recruitment strategies looking externally would be beneficial for keeping projects on time. If you can build a business case for going externally while not throwing TA/HR under the bus that will be a huge win for all
We utilize and experienced in house recruitment team and will supplement with agencies based on volumes, urgency, position difficulty, etc. Factors like variety of skill sets and locations make it more challenging for an internal team to be effective. We have justified having a team internally by continuing to reduce agency fees - but a lot of that hinges on the capability of the internal recruiters.
Erg, yah that's a hard one. I think in-house, overall, has a better idea and picture of what you're looking for in a candidate. Outsourcing does take some of that burden off as an employer ... BUT... you're going to get a lot less quality and ideal candidates because the recruiting agency isn't going to be as familiar with your day to day, the actual job and what it is that YOU are looking for in an employee. You can try to explain all that to them, but in my experience, they just won't get the full grasp like an internal person would.
