Hi Guys, Please help me with the info. I had a joining date with Comcast on 21st January, and my background verification (BGV) was initiated on 12th January. However, the BGV is still not cleared, due to which my start date has been extended.

It has been around 20 days, and the status is still showing “Documents are under review.”Could you please let me know by when the verification process is expected to be completed?

My DoJ in the new co. is next monday. As I got a much better offer, I was about to turn down the previous offer and today, I have received the laptop from the firm I am supposed to join next week. How can I politely reject the offer now? Is it even possible?

Do you review the other side’s escrow instructions and provide comments? 4 years in and I’ve never done this. Working for a new partner and she insists on doing so “in case there are competing instructions” but isn’t that the entire point of funding through an escrow agent/title company?

I worked 2m for startup company and absconded due to bitter experience from Jun'21 - July'21 , later immediately joined to another company Aug'21 to present(under notice period). Now I got offer with comcast and will moving on Jan'23. I'm bit worried because I don't have releiving letter for those 2m but all other records are clear with me(includes to company I'm currently serving notice period). I yet to reveal this 2m to my Hr.
