Is it just me or all of these ‘budget’ Japanese sports cars underwhelming? The gr86,brz, and wrx seem honestly overpriced for what they deliver (power wise). Hoping the 400z would be better

At what point does “ego” stop mattering? Over the past 5 years I’ve worked my way to being an Account Manager, but ultimately my career goal is to work for the government. There’s an opportunity to be an admin assistant working for the government, and would be a nice way for me to get in and move up. But the title change from Account Manager to Assistant is a big deterrent. Logically I know that it doesn’t matter, but emotionally it’s hard to feel like I am taking a major career step back?

I see people who are doing 1st round technical asking, What is your current, expected CTC, offer. This question was not asked before 2 years in first level. Why should the tecnical person ask it!!! Some people might compare with their salary and reject the candidate even he is good in tech stack..

Gave first round technical round with a company today and it didn't go well. When asked about CTC, I said current is 24, have offer for 33 and I am expecting 40. Good day to shocked Interviewer🤣

I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?

Is anyone else concerned about the direction the automotive world is heading in, and the overall bigger impact to society when no one can afford to own/have a car? I feel like there’s a perfect storm brewing and with the help of Covid and chip shortages and senseless forced adoption of EVs, in a few years common ppl won’t be able to afford a car and even those in upper income classes will be hard pressed. And when people can’t travel freely on their own, that will have downstream FX on society

About to give a go at negotiating a price for a used ‘21 Mercedes’ GLE 350 - 7k miles. I know it’s a tough buyers market but any tips on ways to negotiate? Dealer is 100 miles away and priced competitively at $64k but another dealer is 200 miles away and priced at $60k. Features are about the same but the more expensive option has nicer wheels so maybe that’s worth ~$2k. TIA

Which 3/4 ton is the best choice right now? I like the IFS of the Sierra/Silverado, the rear air suspension of the Ram, the adaptive cruise control of the F250 and Ram, the interior of the Ram, the power of the Sierra/Silverado and Ram diesels. No clear winner!

Have opportunity to buy a 2006 BMW E46 M3 6-speed for about $2500. Good deal? Car has 117k on the odometer and pictures and carfax show the car was well maintained. Would be buying through a reputable online auction.

If I buy a car from a private seller out of state where I’m paying off their lien, then there’s a delay until the bank and dmv sync up and release the lien on the title, does the car just have to stay with the seller or I have to pay to ship it to me? I don’t see how I can drive it back without the title, which is required to get a temp transport plate. Car is in Wisconsin I’m in Illinois, and lien is with Chase bank.
