Hi, I just graduated with a master's degree in early childhood education, and I have an ESL and LBS1 endorsement. I haven't had any luck landing any jobs in Chicago. Any tips?

Getting your masters without a job may have made it more difficult for you. Apply in low income areas, someone needs you I’m sure.

Just keep applying. The masters makes you a little more expensive, but your endorsements are in high demand.

Don't be afraid to explore full time sub roles, too.
Those can be a good way to get your foot in the door.

Maybe try leaving it off the resume until you land a job? Jk jk but seriously though, its funny our society pretends to value education, but when we go and get it it makes us "more expensive." You would think we would value someone with a masters degree teaching our children more than someone without but what do I know 🤷‍♀️

My stepmom threw me a very elaborate bridal shower. My stepsister pitched in and also did a lot of work for it. Bridesmaids helped but didn’t do a ton. What, if anything should I do for my stepmom and stepsister as a showing of gratitude? I don’t want to spend a lot of $$ but definitely want to act quickly and thoughtfully.

Happy to refer anyone to Citigroup. Just send me a DM. :)

I'm looking for Job in HR Shared Services , Currently working as Manager HR Shared Services in Genpact with 8+ years of experience in Compensation management, Appraisals, Salary planning activities, Annual Bonus activity etc..

Has anyone struggled with The EY sponsored Becker Cpa review course. I apparently have a hold on the account - EY hasn’t authorized purchase. I tried calling finance and HR - 0 help.

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?
