Any PTs who have gone on a maternity leave after working as an independent contractor in a private practice setting? I'm currently paying into EI myself as a contractor to ensure I have something for a mat leave but concerned the clinic owner doesn't have to gaurantee I have a job when I return since I'm not an employee. I can’t take it any more. I have been working for a company as an FTE since October, but started as a temp in March 2021, and I am done. The inefficiency is astounding and the ideas that i tried to put in place when I started and were turned down are now being brought up as “fresh ideas.” I’m done but can’t move on until I have another job lined up.
