Hi, I need guidance. I worked at Cognizant for 2.5 years in the mortgage domain, but I want to move into accounting or finance roles for long-term growth. Most calls I receive are for BPO roles, which I want to avoid. My notice period is completed and I’m actively looking.

I completed SAP FICO training and have good knowledge of Excel, but I don’t have hands-on corporate experience yet SAP FICO. Recruiters say my mortgage background doesn’t match finance roles. Any guidance would really help.

One of my friends works as a Director in Nagarro. She has been there for 7 years and has a CTC of 42 with total yoe 17. Per current trend this is low even though she is a constant top performer. She says that even though delivery people play a pivotal role, they are not paid well. In her team, she sees technical people earning 45-50 at 10-11 yoe. So the factor is 2.5 for delivery vs 4.5 to 5 for technical roles. Per her, this is quite common in Nagarro & she is not an outlier. ctd in comments

I have done my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engg and Masters in Industrial Management (Europe). I didn't do enough research on Visa extension before enrolling into the course and had to come back to India after studies.
Now in the job market my Masters is not considered and all the job calls are based on my Btech degree. Every time I have applied for Big4 or consultant opening the HRs response ends with a similar note ie we consider students with top B schools and hiring is only via campus

Hi fishes. I need one advice.

I was offered a role at a firm, but they put in on hold with no info on the date. There was no joining letter given, just verbal confirmation.
In the mean time, i got another offer and they wanted immediate joining. The HR was not willing to negotiate the date at all, so i onboarded. It has been 2 weeks.
The 1st firm has now confirmed the role & it's much better pay and role wise.
Is leaving it justified with what good reason can be given to move ?
