kind of a hard skill to fake or just quickly learn. I guess I would just keep applying until you find something that isn't bilingual? Maybe there are some friends or family members or former colleagues/bosses you know who are hiring for this kind of role and would be more open to you not being bilingual? Alternatively you could look into remote customer service type stuff?
All that matters is who YOU know. I've only been able to get interviews this last year by getting referrals. I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn messaging people (some are direct connections and others are 2nd or 3rd connections). But I ask people if I can talk to them about their careers and then after we chat I ask them if they'd refer me. They don't always say yes but often they do.
Ask if you take language courses in the afternoons and ask if they will pay for them. Or you would gladly be open for second language training and ask them for guidance on what does the company offer in the evenings or weekends to being bilingual as this is important because it allows the company to reach a wider customer base, improve cultural understanding, enhance global business opportunities, attract diverse talent, and foster a more inclusive work environment and that you want to be a part of this! Never give keep going up the hill you will reach the top soon! 🇨🇦
I have taken classes for Medical Billing and Coding Specialist with a NHA certification and Medical Office Professional with an AMCA certification and nothing has come up, I have been a SAHM for the last 20 years and I'm learning that it's all who can get you in.
