Does anybody work in a rule for a litigation finance or legal funding company who doesn't hail from a big law firm in background? Basically I have a lot of interest in the area have read a book about it in my free time and was wondering what sort of entry level opportunities I should be seeking.

For those who have passed the CIPM exam, what is it like (and how does it compare to the CIPP/US exam)?

I work at Big4 TAS Germany,with a great team and a nice role that I enjoy. Nevertheless, I very often feel underpaid and at the moment the market seems quite hot and it would be possible to change to IB. Anyone has views on Big4 TAS vs Small local IB Boutiques (IEG, Case, Contor). Money is definitely better but I am afraid that the lack of name recognition may hinder my exit opps long term.

What might a be good exit to look for?
I have a pharmD, working in a life sciences firm with focus in R&D, but projects included a mix of pre and post launch strategy. I’ve recently transitioned from Travel Customer Service role (8 YOE) to Analyst in the same LOB. Earlier I resolved travel queries through calls/emails, but now my role is to analyse travel spending on Amex cards. Now I want to remain in analysis field and grow. I currently only use SQL, Power-BI and MS-Suite. What should I learn further? Which tools or is there a course I should do? I’ve only done Graduation and thinking of doing PGDM in Data Analytics or BI.

I have been at my firm for just over a year & have begun thinking abt what I want my career path to look like. Due to the structure of my firm, my practice is very varied. I would like to narrow my practice, but don’t foresee that being possible where I am at. I have begun taking calls w/ firms who have reached out to recruit me.
