-2- application support role my company and the prime both tried to counteroffer to keep me, my boss had never seen that before. Unfortunately, the pay gap was too much to not move, so I did. However, things didn't pan out at the new place (leadership changes and they laid off everyone under 90 days). So the prime hired me right back with higher pay. I say this because in my eyes I did a great job and it was recognized. Now, the program has moved to a new phase and the budget looks like my team will be cut out. I'm not upset, disappointed sure, but not upset. I've worked with really great talented people where I've been and have learned a lot. --
-3- Things have changed in the IT field obviously, and while I did great in the space I worked in, I do not feel like I will land well in the current environment. I'm not a developer, but have worked in development, design, integration and deployment. I'm probably the oldest person on my team but I've incorporated AI for making some of our tasks more efficient, not so much automated, but definitely cut down time-consuming tasks down from days or hours to minutes. Despite my successes where I'm at, I feel like I'm starting over again. Or rather, would be starting over again. I know others have been where I'm trying to get myself prepared to be. Can someone give me some words of wisdom? I'm preparing as much as I can, and trying to keep my head up, but the worry is getting heavy. Thanks in advance.
