Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

I would recommend starting at Starbucks or another chain so you can familiarize yourself with the lingo and the basics. A lot of coffee shops want experience but few are willing to train like the national chains.
I would walk into coffee shops nearby and ask if they are hiring. If they are, fill out an application. That is a job where they will train you.
It all depends on what direction, you would like to go in. I would watch barista videos online. To find out more info, on how to get started.
Rising Star
Put your hat in the ring and start applying to open barista jobs! I feel like you could start with bigger brands like Starbucks may be more willing to train, could be a good place to get a foundation as a barista
Start looking on job boards for entry-level type roles. Like barista trainee or something like that. You just need to get your foot in the door and have the chance to learn the job first, then you should have no problem making that dream a reality. Take any entry-level job and then work your way up from there.
