Stay in the current firm, they might give you flexibility post maternity .
I second her. Stress plays a major part in family planning. If things are smooth and manageable in the current firm, and you think you can stay here for the next 2-3 years then continue. If things are unmanageable here in terms of work pressure and growth, then taking a chance somewhere new is better. There's no guarantee they will be better than them but at least you will get a raise/growth and then once baby is 1.5 you can decide.
Things are changing rapidly so I would say focus on what matters to you most. Rest you you will handle 😊
Plan both things parallely , whatever happens first then plan accordingly.
Switching and then planning for mat break would be better as once baby comes into picture you can't switch for like 1 year or more as baby demands more and switching means you need to adjust to new project and it will also require time.
Please note, my role is of senior developer and given the AI landscape I prefer job stability
Switch no one can deny maternity
