Much of it should be play based at that age. We found Montessori methods to be easy to follow/implement. Gross motor and fine motor skills should be a priority (think blocks, age appropriate crafts) and you can add in counting, colors, numbers, letters with the play. Learning happens everywhere- count things at the grocery store, look for colors and letters everywhere. We limited screen time. We found teacher supply stores had good resources.
We didn’t have a monthly curriculum but did plan activities each week (mostly because I needed the planning to get everyone out of the house). Zoo, arboretum, museums were in regular rotation (at least monthly) and we spent countless hours at local parks. We would do short, focused trips since we went frequently. We also had kid size window washing supplies and broom that they played with (often making a mess to clean up). Sadly the cleaning didn’t carry over to their teenage years 😀. We did seasonal things like gardening in the spring and snow forts in the winter - active learning and fun.
We did the Lovevery subscription boxes. They ship every three months based on the age of the child. We all loved getting the boxes and exploring what was inside. My son (now 5) still plays with a good majority of the “toys”. Lots of great learning in each box.
You should get all the materials you need from the state I thought. Hmmm! What state do you live in? I can do some homework around this for you, if you’d like. I’m not a homeschool guru, but I had a neighbor who home schooled her two boys, similar in ages as my youngest one. My son was very close to her boys so we talked a lot. Homeschooling worked for them bc they traveled every 5 -6 years. It worked for them and it sounds like she was doing a great job. This was a long time ago and things have changed but it might be in your favor w no more federal money supplementing state budgets for k-12 public education.
Ohhhhh! That’s a whole new ballgame. Let see what I can come up with.
