Currently navigating this right now. So far so good. Blessed to have supportive supervisors and team. I’m just taking it day by day and trying not to push myself too hard like before. Example: If I work til midnight back then once in a while, then I now strictly end work at 8. Focus on urgent tasks and daily goals, prioritize things and not stress too much about unfinished tasks. Gotta take care of ourselves and the baby. We are required to report to work 3x a week, but first trimester had my head spinning everyday so I got an accommodation paperwork from OB (even though boss approved it, it doesn’t hurt to have something official). When it snows I don’t go to make sure I avoid slips. When I feel something weird, I communicate to boss so they are informed I am running to the doctor. My exercise is simply commuting to work (train and walking). And then I just eat balanced diet, at least try to!
Good luck! I hope you feel better.
✋ neverstop working in 10 projects at the same time, with a full previa + vellamentous cord + breach baby + extra fluid. Super high risk pregnancy. Was lucky to have the support of my boss and husband. I literally only moved from sofa to bed and back to sofa, he did EVERYTHING else. My boss allowed me to be fully remote, so I spent all my days with my laptop on my lap. I had a freelancer I chose on hold to cover up for me in case the placenta bled and I had to run to an emergency c-section. I would update him on the unfolding of my projects every few days so he could quickly jump in if needed. We were lucky enough for the previa not to burst, and did a planned c-section at 30w. Sending you all the best wishes. Hang in there! You can do this, and both of you will be fine ❤️
I was prescribed pelvic rest and don’t do much physical activity, like, avoid walking too much, too much stairs and absolutely no exercises. But I stopped everything, I knew I had a placenta ready to burst inside of me. My boss and everyone at my agency were very supportive, they told me to always do whatever was best for the baby, so i worked from home all the time. Some days were harder, i was soooo sleepy, but kept working. I am usually pretty chill, but pregnancy time was very stressing. I was doing this huge job for a big hardware retailer with hundreds of deliverables, a big team, high stress. It was so bad that the producer, that was also pregnant, had contractions, went to the hospital from stress, so she had to be moved to a lighter job. And this was one of my 10. On top of that, my biggest reason for stressing is that every week we were getting worse news from the dr. My baby wasn’t safe inside of me. I kept checking for his movements constantly, would wake up multiple times to check if he was alive. So yeah, it was a lot of stress. The stress from work helped relieve the stress from the troubled pregnancy. We were soooooo lucky, everything ended up well. I’m sure it will be alright for you too. Soon you’ll be relieved with your little one in your arms. Sending you all my best vibes❤️
