People are already marching in the street demanding an end to Israel funding. And people who still back Israeli actions seem more and more every day like loony Trump supporters screaming voter fraud after losing 20+ court cases. It’s lookin like you’re right, OP. Do you think Biden will be around to give us one of his “I made a mistake and I learned from it” speeches? Lol
I sure hope so, the Israeli government are acting monstrously
Like most hot takes, this is a bad one. I’m democrat and pro Israel. I know a lot of people who are. The loudest voices on the left don’t always represent as many people as you think. I would say same goes for the right but I’m having a harder time believing it these days. Either way, there are lots of moderate people who don’t fall in line with party on every issue. This conflict will pass and there will be another and another and the u.s. will remain mostly behind Israel.

I mean...sure these are ‘loudest voices’ I agree but even that wasn’t possible a few years ago. That’s how it usually starts. They indicate the direction of the party.

I don't think so - lots of Jews are significant power brokers in this Country and that's not going to change anytime soon.

The depth of your ignorance is telling; even lifelong Zionists don't back Netanyahu's regime. You can be a pro-Israel Jew and still believe in a two-state solution.

PwC, I’m a formerly pro Israel D who is furious about what IDF and Bibi are doing now. We’ll see how things work out but I wouldn’t bet that the present situation doesn’t change support for Israel a lot. Take a look at the situation and history. Israel is blowing it.

I think you’re ahead of me. 🙏
I’ve gone over to the Bibi must go and unless Likud dissolves I’m done fundintlg Israel camp. Very frustrated with all Israel all the time.

I think this is pretty plausible. There’s a pretty big generation gap among American Jews re: Israel and I can imagine this changing the dynamic within the D party.

I wouldn’t say the Democratic Party is exceptionally pro Israel

Eh, lotta old Jews in swing states that democrats remain afraid of
