Nobody would change anything, so there’s no point in calling out all the issues
Every update at the end would say “No changes were made after the show.”
Soooo… basically Kitchen Nightmares but with ad agencies? Can’t forget the best part where the restaurant/agency closes in about a year.
Got to admit, it does make for great TV! All the crying with the owner(s) saying they want to change and they make changes. Then after the “rescue” they go back into the same habit that was the issue from the beginning.
Or Squid Games where 500 copywriters compete for one LinkedIn post.
What we really need is a rescue for those of us who chose this crap career.
🙄
Imagine the Taff Man learning about the payment period terms that agencies are accepting from clients
The first and only episode would have a very simple script: “You need to stop relying on a billable hours model,” followed by 59:53 of silence.
There was a great AMC show called “The Pitch” from 2012-13. Could be that plus what the agencies learned from not “winning the biz”. Would be cool to update it to now to see how much things have changed/not changed 😱

what they learned from not winning the biz -- we need to go cheaper!
Who would you have be the fixer?
Me, obviously. 🤣
Every agency would no doubt be THE WORST RUN AGENCY I'VE EVUH SEEN! SHUT IT DOWN!!
I’ll volunteer my agency: BarkleyOKRP and whatever agency we decide to swallow up next.
Also, who’s playing the role of fixer in this?
Rising Star
Gruen Transfer, Australia

I’d be more interested in a show where an ad industry exec goes and tries to turn around a struggling brand.
They’d just go around and say, “AI” a lot.
There isn’t enough on here about the agency equivalent of the “butt funnel”
