My job application status says shortlisted in Mindtree Portal after 3 round of technical interviews. The recruiter told me he will send an invite for the HR round (10-15 days back) But i am yet to receive any information from them.
Can someone from #Mindtree help me understand what process they follow for recruitment?

What if you can learn stuff from them too? Big difference between zero experience and zero ad agency experience
That sounds awful, director, but it's a great opportunity to be the invaluable right hand to this person. C-suite sold it to you as mentoring, in truth you are this person's hands/deckbitch.
Hm... I've had this happen to me. I very cordially told him to reach out to me if he needs training and I would be happy to set up time for him and one of my associate directors to help him ramp up. My guy thought he was too much of a rockstar to need help, crashed and burned in a year and is now fired.
The fact that you are at the director level and don't get this scares me a bit.
He is an "investment"/"ecological" hire by my boss. He has/had worked in well known startup (was employee #5). But this is his first time in an agency. He's getting compensated for equivalent experience in a parallel industry.
But this means he literally doesn't know how an agency works. Can't write client facing emails. And doesn't know how to put together a deck. Because he spent ~5 years elsewhere and was running the show, now it's difficult to even try to mentor because he is used to just doing stuff without ever getting feedback.
Oh and BTW, this isn't something you can say no to, or fail at. Good luck!
I doubt it's about learning from him, so much as making his contacts your contacts
This is not the worst position for you. Network with him, learn his POVs. You never know what his capabilities and future is going to look like since he is startup #5. As long as he wants to learn and does not abuse the relationship. Unlike for me, try working under someone who gets paid more than you but knows zero shit and steals your work and does not give a shit or want to learn.
Why is he even at an agency?
There will always --ALWAYS-- be people making more and those who will be making less than each of us. If you choose to compare yourself with those making more, you will be unhappy. What would happen if you compared yourself with those making less?
What's the reason he is here and making more than you? Does he have a special skill or degree?
Yep I hear you!!
What will he teach you?
He's at the agency to bring in business. He doesn't need to know how to do the day to day shit.
Why are you complaining? It's an awesome learning opportunity for you and it opens the door for your to learn and inquire about a different industry and learn how you can leverage other experience to make an agency better. If you're the smartest person in the room you need to find a new room
A lot of what CD1 said. This is a strategic hire for the agency, not someone producing tangible things like emails and decks, but there for prestige/image building to attract agency business. You could become invaluable to them with your "operational" knowledge of the agency life and thus gain inside knowledge of other agency goings-on and potentially milk that in future for your own promotion if this person succeeds and becomes your champion. If they fail, you'll still be there with reputation intact in the eyes of c-suite. If you refuse by being difficult, pouting and rolling eyes, start packing your desk.
Also, answer this question every time you're faced with a "politics" challenge: Do you want to be smart or do you want to be right?? Proceed according to your answer.
Up your negotiating skills. I learned not to be bitter when I realize "less deserving" people make more than me. Now I'm mostly mad at myself for not negotiating better salary for myself. I simply see it as a benchmark for my next salary negotiation.
nopes. if you teach him you needs to charge fo them milkshakes
