Go for it - we have become very comfortable wfh. Unless you have caring responsibilities etc that prevent you from. We all did it before but question it now post covid.
Depends what’s important to you now and what sort of career or lifestyle you want in the future. If you like the new role then you’ll happily commute. Pre-covid everyone was in the office (or client site) 4 or 5 days per week and most companies are moving back to that model. If you’re happy doing the 9-5 and comfortable / not bothered with pushing yourself and trying to progress as you prioritise work life balance then stick with what you have. There’s a value to everything and people either value down time, reward or career progression so go for what’s best for you
Depends on the line, I had a long commute with infrequent trains and regular cancellations which made it so much worse. Really didn’t like the commute after a long day and I ended up moving much closer and now spend no more then 15 minutes on a train each way and I love it. That being said, commuting has always got to so I tended to get more frustrated then most🤷♂️
