How are things going at PWC these days? I’ve heard work life balance is getting better due to the significant AI push and automation efforts from the time I was there. Should I consider going back?

Lets us discuss why Indian companies expects/forces/ us to work more than 9 hours but in timesheet we have to fill 8.
Managers schedule meeting after office hours and expects us to be available always.

Sorry to say this but I have seen only Indians who work extra hours. What's even funny is that the upper management laugh at foreigners who work exactly 8hours.

Should we not change our mentality?
What should we do to not follow this anymore?

Do most firms start reporting years in September or January? Prior firm did an August year for counting hours and then another did January (both Amlaw 200). Looking at an Amlaw 100 to lateral in the fall (so trying to anticipate how much of the year I’ll have). I’ll ask what bonus/reporting year but just curious if most follow the same.
