Well after your chamomile 😬 if you want to go to to bed sad - pick a Haruki Murakami like Kafka on the shore .. Go to bed smiling - pick a Bill Bryon like A Short History of Nearly Everything .. Never go to be but roflol - pick a P G Wodehouse like Right Ho, Jeeves ...

Replace hot tea with a hot girl

Lol. I am a girl, and the winner is always a chamomile peppermint combo. What I should have asked is, any good book recommendations?

23M here. Anybody have any tips or book recommendations on not feeling haunted by your past and anxiety about the future and consistently stay in a “FLOW STATE”.I’m currently reading the Power of Now. I feel that I’ve always been somewhat unconfident but every year it seems to be more and more difficult to manage and taxing emotionally. I go to the gym 4 times a week, try to eat clean, socializ

Would you say summaries are as effective for self help books like "the subtle art of giving a fk" and other similar books? I feel the books themselves ramble on too much on a side story only to tell a point that could be summed up in a couple sentences. Or am I just not getting good book recommendations for growth/development on mental well being and productivity

I have been a job hopper in last 3 years since I have graduated from college. I’ve just hit my 1 year and have had a very positive experience. However, I have just received an offer at a FAANG company that would be more than twice my salary. Is it worth switching again? Do you think it would be worth it? Pro’s and Con’s?

Had a lateral interview that seemed to go well, with an invite for a second interview just 4 days later. Said they'd be in touch. After one week I followed up writing sample. They thanked me and said they'd be in touch "next week" (which was this last week). Never heard back. Any advice on what to do next? Don't want to be annoying, and don't know what a typical time-frame is.

Guys I know this question has been asked before, but just want to hear some thoughts on this. Is it worth it to go from one big 4 company (EY) to another (Deloitte) for consulting? The major factor is pay increase. The major down side is loss of people network. Thoughts?

I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.

Got an informal offer to join a client (manufacturing company). 240k base, 60k cash bonus target (can shrink or double depending on company metrics) + 50k annual equity (3 yr rolling vesting). Director level which has just one additional layer between me and the Exec Committee. My contact already internal negotiated extra vacation and is working on my behalf for a signing bonus. Is it worth trying to negotiate base? Or is this already a strong offer?

Submitted a resume to a recruiter for a job last Monday. They called me within 2 hours and asked to schedule a phone call. The call went well, and they sent me all the necessary paperwork they need me to sign. I signed it within the hour and sent them an email saying I’m looking forward to working with them. Haven’t heard anything back since then. Is that weird? Does the recruiter actually think I am a good fit for the role? She sent me the name of the company and everything.
