Struggled recently? All season they squeaked by. But 31-0 is still impressive AF.
I also think they should be in, its really hard to have an undefeated szn regardless your conference. I would have liked to see them play more ranked teams ,though

Zero Quad 1 wins
One Quad 2 win
30th in WAB entering today
90th in Kenpom as of this evening
31-0 is nothing to sneeze at. They should absolutely celebrate that accomplishment. But the reality is that their resume is also lackluster and their actual team quality will be the worst team in the tournament seeded 12th or better.

**Sorry, Wright State is currently 135th in the NET and gives Miami their second Quad 2 win (this might not last through conference tournaments)
Class of 1994 here.
No way they’re not one of the 64 best teams.

64 best resumes? Or 64 best teams?
90th in Kenpom
86th in Bart Torvik
92nd in ESPN BPI
73rd in EvanMiya
This also ignores that it’s not even the 64 best teams. The field of 68 has plenty of lower rated conference champs and more closely reflects the top ~45 + conference champs.
They are a mixed bag. There is allot not to like but 31-0 is impressive. If it is me I put them in on the 12 line.

Miami just picked up a Quad 4 loss (they may get lucky where it moves to quad 3 as UMass is close to the threshold).
The bubble is abysmal this year and they should still get in, but being sent to Dayton for this resume is entirely a fair outcome.
They’ve played nobody. I’m sure the Sacramento Kings could go undefeated if they played in the ACC

OP Those emails are also intentionally misleading.
Nobody wanted to take them on for a buy game when the Miami AD reached out. Some of the responses made it clear that it was late in the game and their schedule was full. Others were only looking for a Home and Home. It also doesn’t include how much they expected for a buy game, and it’s possible their rate was too high.
No doubt it’s harder to schedule as a mid major than a power conference team (we’ve seen Gonzaga struggle with this in the past for example), but it doesn’t make sense why Miami would have had such a hard time with scheduling when their peers were able to get tougher games on the schedule.
They could get to the 16 but that’s it.
