How are you managing your mental health? I’m currently hiding in a bathroom stall at my office because the Sunday Scaries have evolved into a full-blown Tuesday morning panic attack. Every time my phone buzzes, I assume it’s a client disaster, and the stress is becoming completely unmanageable. I’d give up $100k of my salary tomorrow just to have a job where no one’s life or livelihood depends on my 2 AM spreadsheets.

When talking about salary, do you usually say your base or TC?

I’ve accepted an offer from a firm. Had to revise my joining date and the HR sent an email confirmation for the revised doj. I received an onboarding portal link from another HR, on their portal it’s mentioned my joining is in January which is even earlier than the joining date I received before on my OL which I got revised later on. The HR isn’t even reachable, they don’t reply to mails or pick calls. Don’t know what to do.

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.
