I didn't like finance, so I chose accounting
I just knew I wanted to work with people. I initially wanted to be an entrepreneur, but my accounting professors convinced me to work on getting my CPA license first.
They explained that I could either:
a) end up loving public accounting and create a good, stable career for myself
or b) the extra cash I can get from the increase in salary from my license will give me some seed money for any business I decide to start.
It was a great decision, and I l've met so many new people working in public accounting.
I saw the affects of the 2008 recession and wanted to choose a stable career.
Im also very organized and logical so it allows me to capitalize on my talents
