How do you approach a situation where a colleague’s cologne is a little too overpowering? I don’t want to come off as rude, but it’s genuinely hard to sit next to him for long periods in a meeting room. I’ve been debating whether to say something or just try to deal with it. Has anyone else had to navigate this before? How did you handle it without making things awkward?

I would check in on HR for protocols to handle.

Smells like that can trigger migraines in folks so there is “how to handle guides” on Google but really should be a good ADA compliance thing with HR.

That’s a great point! I didn’t even think about the ADA angle. I’ll look into our HR policies to see if there’s a respectful way to address it. Definitely don’t want to make it personal, just hard to focus with such a strong scent nearby.

Based on the Gross salary offered I have calculated the in hand salary per month would be around 152000 considering 150000 in 80C, 50000 in NPS and 200000 deductions due to home loan interest. Total tax liability is around 400000. Any other options do I have to save tax further (other than HRA, LTA)? Thanks in advance.

I recently got an offer from DBS bank, there they have promised to pay 3,00,000 as one time relocation allowance.

Two things i want to know,
1. Do they pay this amount regardless of whether you are in the work location ?
2. Inorder to encash this amount does it require require to submit any proofs or what's the process ?

I had final round interviews last week for the company I really want to work for. I have an offer from another company, which I communicated to the recruiter which expedited the interview to final rounds. I need to respond to the other company's offer letter soon.
