Too hard to resist 😼

I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Countdown... beginning now
Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

I’m prob going to get rolled over the coals for this suggestion, but I would find a company that would excite you to work at, and find ways to create connections with folks from the company on LinkedIn. Recruiters, HR Teams, social leaders. Introduce yourself, connect, and share your resume.
Unless someone knows you or your name, it’s going to be difficult (not impossible) to make an impression.
Narrow your focus, Narrow your effort, and find the right spot.
If you have applied to 75 jobs, how much effort did you put into all 75 roles? Application and wait, or have you been making yourself seen?
Easier said than done, I understand. But to land a great role in today’s climate, it’s going to take more than posting for open roles.
Go be seen!

I’ve never gotten a job through a referral. I just make sure to optimize and update my resume and LinkedIn.
I get reached out by recruiters all the time on LinkedIn and I find myself surprised when others don't. I don't know what I'm doing differently.
I post occasionally, have a descriptive profile, and network in-person.
