How do you handle Facebook friend requests from students? I just received one for the first time from one of my graduating seniors. I’m conflicted, though, about whether to accept it, since I want to maintain a professional distance and the privacy concerns involved. I don't share a lot on there, but if one student sees my posts, all of them will want to. What do you do about social media requests?

Do you think partners in law firms have too much power and autonomy? eg. the power to refuse leave, to do your annual appraisal, to make you work while on leave, to overwork people, to manage the team on their on terms etc. Is this power bad or good for the firm and the team overall?

From a vault ranking perspective, is it safe to assume V100 is all sweatshop big law? Reason I ask is because I want to lateral but not to a gunning big law firm — want to stay in big law but not at the ones at the top of the food chain like I am now.
