Nothing will ever be truly dead in crypto. Just look at bitconnect lol
M1, lumens serve two purposes: settlement between banks operating different currencies, and paying fees to the network. Settlement times aren't very long, so there isn't too much holding risk. You can get about 500k transactions for 1 USD. Stellar network has it's greatest appeal to international remittance providers.
I'm implementing it for a bank. Keep in mind that lumens shouldn't appreciate until the foundation doesn't have many anymore
Who said it was dead? Other than the fact everything was dead for awhile
P1-when you say implementing, does it mean that banks will be strictly using it for bank to bank transfers (same country? Intl? Both?) or will it be accessible for consumers to transfer in an out of banks too? And if so, wouldn’t banks want it to be a stable coin? Or...are you thinking it goes up to a certain price then stabilizes?
I don't think banks want it stable as much as they want it cheap. I'd I were the Stellar development foundation, I would keep that in mind.
If stellar blasted off🚀🚀🚀to the moon and transactions weren't essentially free, banks wouldn't want it.
If Stellar implements the lightening network within a few months, as suggested, it won’t be dead, no
