I live alone in a 1 BR. The solution I found for my sanity is to take a daily walk at night or whenever it's not 90 outside, get those fresh air in. Also, I try my best to have some irl human interaction anywhere I can, chatting with the receptionist, people I run into on a daily basis (gym staff, barista, etc.)
Also, have a dedicated zone & decorate them kinda help as well if you have enough space.
I’ve been in a studio for most of covid! I take plenty of walks and have lots of plants. It took a bit of getting used to but ultimately was a good decision.

I live near prospect park too. It’s great to bike/walk there and take a break from your room. I find living in a studio with abundant sunlight definitely is better.

Helps to have a window with a decent view next to the desk too
I was in a studio during the peak of covid and had to move out ASAP to a 1 bedroom… at least now you can go outside etc!
How big is the studio? I lived in a studio all of covid and just recently moved into a 1br (moved because lease was up and am now able to financially afford it).
I was really able to make my studio work with a semi makeshift wfh set up. I think you’ll be able to do it too but it depends on the size of the studio. The laundry and AC in unit is something I couldn’t pass up, so see if you can fit a ladder desk on one portion of the wall for your wfh setup. I did and it helped.
I'm not sure on dimensions, it came up as a lease takeover posted by the renter. Those are good ideas, thank you. I've always had a huge desk for dual monitors so it will definitely take some re-working.
The central AC is a big selling point; this is my first NYC apt and I've never had an apt with radiator/forced heat. Even living in Chicago, I wouldn't run my heat unless it was the polar vortex.
I live in a 600sft studio so I’ve been able to break it up into bed, living, office/dining areas. I have an L shaped desk that I can fold back against the wall if I ever need to take that space back. Dual monitor set up. Never felt like I needed more space.
