Treat your health like your money. You pay yourself first (i.e., money goes into your 401k before anyone else gets a penny). It’s hard at first, but get in a workout in before you go to work no matter how early you have to get up. After a while, it becomes routine.
Great question, and I wish I had a solid answer for you. I just focus on at least one thing. Maybe walking after work when the weather is nice. Little things here and there are better than nothing.
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve told myself I’ll get up early to go to the gym. Much easier to start with simple steps and work up to what you want.
I go for a walk around my neighborhood to get in a few thousand steps before I go to work. Like you, I'm just so emotionally drained at the end of my workday that I know that I won't do any physical activity after. Plus, my morning walk gives me a lot more energy than I ever would've expected.
I tend to workout best in the evenings, immediately after work. Once you get in a routine, it’s much easier. Everyone is different, so maybe you would have more success with a before work workout
