How do you think your ESL numbers will be next school year, especially Newcomers?

this is an interesting question and still remains to be seen.

I know my school has at least 4 port of entry students. We probably have over a hundred easily. I’m not sure if they had been in a detention center and are just now registering or if they just arrived to US over the summer.

I am so happy I get to loop with my students (except my5th graders who are off the Middle School), especially with my beginner English speakers. At least I’ll be a familiar face during these weird times. Can’t wait to see them virtually!

I applied to a lead project specialist role with Deloitte about a month ago and my app is still pending and waiting review. I’d asked an acquaintance for a referral prior to applying also. Everyone complains about high healthcare costs in the US. I understand that it’s a complex problem including drug prices, insurances etc. But no one talks about the high physician salaries. Why do surgeons make near a million in the US while they make $250K in Canada?
