Just another pointless fee that misses the mark. Glad it's gone.
Me too. It was seriously pointless
More symbolic than anything else. It’s early days but hoping for real change with the new council around the big issues like getting out of the way of housing development and speeding up the approval process (for both the big developers and individual homeowners).
Oh it’s gone? AMAZING! I already needed to pay taxes and plus that? Great news!
Just get a reusable cup ya dunce
A untested policy that many businesses took advantage of to pocket more money as if inflation wasn’t doing that already for these segments.
I’m happy it’s gone.

25 cents was just enough to justify bringing a coffee mug. I thought it was a great idea. Same with charging 10 cents for bags at the grocery store. Force people to be more sustainable or pay for it (I was constantly paying for it, especially the coffee cups and always “kicked” myself)
I do understand how those less fortunate we severely disadvantaged but that’s where proprietors need to have a bit of compassion.
Best news!
Haha, I mean I'm definitely cool with it. Never made much sense to me to begin with.
Don't think it had the desired effect, like most policies unfortunately. Not sure what the next direction is though
It was terrible policy making so I’m glad it’s gone.
