I left my last Director job because there was no growth. And during my interview, I told them I like where I’m at and I’m comfortable and I think telling them that made them want me even more.
Oh, you did some reverse psychology on them😂
It's usually best not to criticize your former employer. It's better to say the job didn't align with your goals, or the work wasn't very challenging. It's more positive to say you have potential that wasn't being used.
Yeah I feel like lying about it if it wasn’t good is the best thing to do!

I’d think of a professional way to put it, especially if it’s wasn’t a positive reason. You could always say your principles no longer aligned with that of the company …
That’s true!
If I were you, I would let them know exactly why you left and give examples on how you try to change it for the better
Very true. Gotta tell them what they want to hear

You could pitch it in a sense as to why you're getting out and what you've learnt from the situation and how you'd handle it in the future.
I always say some nonsense about wanting more responsibility, more opportunities to learn and grow, stuff like that. It's never the truth, but badmouthing your former employer is never a good look, and neither is saying you simply want more money. Keep the convo focused on what you're excited about doing at their store, not what you hate about your current one.
That’s a good point, definitely expand on random things about responsibility!
Say what you want as long as it’s respectful most retail jobs don’t give a rats ass Lol
That’s true hahaha
