How important is it to you that your kids (black or mixed race) are able to be around people who look like you or them outside of the household? Whether in school or just in the city where you live? If that’s not possible, how else do you fulfill that? I hope this question makes sense. I went through experiences being 1 of 4 black girls in my majority white school that I’d never want my future kids to go through.
