I completed two years at Accenture recently. Still no news of any promotion, isn't by default promotion applicable after 2 years of service? It is highly demotivating :(
Happy to have just received my promotion to senior manager after a very challenging year, backed by an even more challenging year prior.
I've got my own beliefs what a senior manager does, or should do. I'm keen to hear transition challenges others have gone through when becoming a senior manager.

Hi everyone! With an internal promotion to manager I am wondering if the salary raise is negotiable? I know a few managers on the team hired in at 110-120 thousand but have also heard I can expect a 5% raise or less moving up internally, which would put me around 25% below that. Hoping negotiation might be an option. Thanks for any insights!
I was promoted to marketing director in April but didn’t get a raise. This is when the CMO left and my workload has since doubled and I have four people reporting to me. I was hired at $105k so I’m making decent money but I’ve asked several times about bringing it to a director-level salary at $120k. They said it’ll happen but they’re not sure when because sales are down. Thoughts on how long to ride it out? I like my job and don’t want to quit but it bothers me regularly.
Those who exited to pharma or biotech, what % raise did you get with promotion? I joined a mid size pharma and when I got promoted to AD, was shocked with a mere 8% raise in base with a 3% increase in bonus and triple the stocks but it takes a white to vest.. is this the standard?

I was promoted to manager in Jan but received an offer with a 35% salary increase and much cheaper health insurance outside the firm. I am 85% sure I’ll take the offer, but wanted to see if anyone could think of acting I may be missing out on by leaving? FYI my inflation increase was larger than my promotion increase and my student loan payments also were stopped since I’m no longer an SA. I think what is holding me back is my guilt for my immediate team but just want to check.
When hikes/promotion happene normally at wolters kluwer.
Like it's twice a year or its once a year?
Just received an offer at Optum for 135k. It’s a digital product role. This would be a 35K raise for me in CA.. Should I take it?
Hypothetical Q: My passport is up for renewal in next 6 months. Can I take an F1 visa interview date with old passport and arrive at consulate with new passport and new DS160 as well?
Thoughts on remote work flexibility for an ACD role? Currently interviewing with a global footwear brand and they originally mentioned they want a hybrid (at office + at home) hire, which would require me to relocate.
Not sure if I should say I’m not willing to relocate right away, or wait a few rounds and see what the possibility is.
Does Fund accounting with Carlyle group makes sense for a recently qualified CFA level 3, starting afresh due to a career gap. Though my interest lies in ultimately getting into pe, vc, hf but I feel the need to get some work experience on my resume. Does this approach makes sense or should I wait and keep looking for more opportunities? Thanks in advance!
Getting abruptly staffed onto projects ( I’ll find out like 2 days before I have to fly out) is doing a number on my anxiety. Thinking of leaving..

First-year associate here! I accepted a job at a litigation firm because I graduated in the middle of a pandemic and I absolutely love the team/workplace culture but long term I want to be in-house. Do I need to make a move to transactional ASAP or is it okay to stay in litigation for a year or two?
What sorts of SQL questions are typically asked in interview questions for senior data analysis jobs? Like is knowing SQL from freecodecamp enough or should I look into taking a course online?
I’ve unfortunately not gotten the chance to use SQL in my current position so I don’t feel like I have enough experience in it, but have experience in everything else (Python, tableau, storytelling, etc)

Anyone here currently work or have worked for @Gartner as an AE in Large Enterprise? I’ve had a couple of opportunities to interview over the past several years but have passed both times. Pay appears to be pretty solid from what I’ve been told and I’d eventually like to work a smaller book size and sell services instead of SaaS, as these are usually always in demand regardless of economic conditions.
Hi everyone! Letting you know fishbowl helped me get a job with one of the biggest software companies! I finally got into the SaaS industry which has been my goal for a year now. Just started this week :) :).

Currently working at a large enterprise company and I have taken a role as the 1st AE at a startup expanding to the US. What would you look to accomplish within the first 60 days and how would you approach improving as your tenure grows?
My quota is based on invoiced sales that resets quarterly. This includes a sliding-scale commission % based on how far you’re at on your quarterly goal (towards quota) which is checked/paid once a month. The only thing that goes toward our quota is PAID sales. This excludes orders still being processed by DE (largest orders) and customers still within NET payment terms. We don’t get paid until the company gets paid. Am I missing warning potential? Am I being expected of A and judged on B?
Does anyone here use LinkedIn for prospecting, and have success with it? I have Premium, and I send dozens of messages per week, and if I’m lucky one person will respond. And most of the people I message work for companies that are already purchasing from us, but there’s no business relationship. Super frustrating.
The other question is: how many of you receive unsolicited messages on LinkedIn and just ignore them?
I am looking to get out of the retail automotive sales business and perhaps find something related, like automotive software suppler position. I have been a BDC Director and Manager and have 10+ years of experience training BD agents on process and software applications in the industry. I can't seem to get any traction with the vendors. Are there other industries that might want an experienced automotive sales manager/BDC manager? I am in South Florida, but I am wiling to relocate.
I was told that I was the chosen candidate for a new role that I applied for which will be promotion, I just recently received my offer and was surprised and decided to start negotiating. My boss immediately said that this is offer, either take it or lose it and no negotiating, and was only given a day to decide whether I want it or not, so he repost the position, and was also told that I was going about it the wrong way for trying to negotiate, Is this wrong of me to negotiate?

I've been there buddy and taking a two week break not even to travel or anything but just to rest and decompress did wonders for me. Apart from some time off, it might help to reconsider where you're headed to next
I recently got my growth path delayed (possibly removed) and I think it is a big factor.
What exactly is burning you out? I took some time to sit down and write down all the things that I believed were causing me burn out. In the end, I realized I was the biggest common denomitaor. My perspective an dlack of boundaries. I would start with some introspection and go from there
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. I had to take 8 months off for depression triggered by burnout from my [previous] job, in 2021. It was so tough and I had to really work out the causes. I tried eliminating everything and bringing things back one-by-one. This is not always doable, I know. However, it helped me reassess what was helping/hindering me. (Eventually I moved job, because it was that that was killing me - despite the raises I was also getting).
