Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

Guidehouse federal just went through a round of layoffs 2 days ago, and they're on the list of 10 companies DOGE is going to focus on for cuts, definitely not a good time to be joining IMO
Guidehouse just went through some layoffs, that they handled quite poorly i might add. If you have a secure job right now, that is treating you well, I think its worth staying until the fed world stabilizes. A lot of our new hires just got let go.

My wife works for NIH…federal health is not a place I’d like to be right now.
I’ve experienced the same from another company. Keep looking while you wait
I would avoid GH right now...or really any federally focused firm.
Are you employed somewhere else right now?
Yes, still with current firm. Didn’t want to give notice until everything was final/blew over on their end.
Happy to refer you to Deloitte!
Always keep looking until you walk in the door of the new job. Jobs can be rescinded at any point of the hiring process. Even after you sign the offer.
