The market has been challenging. Several recruiters I'm close with have told me that there are a lot of HR people out there so companies can not only take their time selecting but can drag out the process trying to find perfect.
I'm hoping that things will pick up now that we are into early January.
I was laid off in Oct. and haven’t had any luck. 😔 but what else can you do but keep showing up right? Our livelihoods are on the line. I pray you and I find something soon. Just meaningful and honest work. Good luck.

I am sorry you are going through this. The waiting drains you in ways people do not see. You are not alone in feeling this pressure.
I still technically have a job. Although layoff rumors in the new year are keeping me awake at night. I have been putting some feelers out there and been looking for a job for the last few months. So hopefully I find something before my company goes under.
Don’t wait. Start revamping your resume and looking for opportunities… the job market is terrible right now and if you wait until you are laid off, the stress and pressure is so much more intense and painful… it’s been soul crushing for me. I’ve been laid off since Oct, and no luck landing anywhere yet.
I've been looking for the past six months, even though I still have a job, because I don't like my boss. I pretty much stopped over the holidays because I know how slow it can be but I've picked up in the past weekend. Still no responses, of course, but I'm hopeful.
Since September….same here
In the same boat. Still searching even though there are good job openings too. I fail to understand the hiring criteria so trying to understand that also.
I feel im being passed over for work because im a white male an us citizen i go to job sites an I'll I see are immigrant workers.i goggled why there seems to be no work in washington state for construction an it says there is a lack of skilled worker...what really going on here.ive been in the industry 20 yrs
3 years of applying here. I say applying as in mass applications morning till night, pulling all nighters trying to tweak my CV in different ways and keep an eye on new vacancies. 10 years corporate experience, last role 35K office and business manager whilst being EA to CEO and CFO - im not even being offered interviews for reception roles. As im anonymous ill be frank, I am genuinely dancing on the edge of offing myself. I can't cope.
