How long did it take you to get from L7 to L6? I’ve been stuck at L7 for 6 years now in Ops. I moved into a role which is funded for an L6 but if I’m honest it’s easier than my last role. I’ve only been in the role less than 6 months so I haven’t pushed the discussions. Starting to get angry at all these promotion posts knowing I deserved it a long time ago (excuses on last project were they didn’t have budget and they felt a L7 was fine in that role).

My total experience is 5 in QA, I attended Deloitte interview. First round was technical and it went quite well, they asked lot of theory questions. I answered few and quite I was not sure of answers. She gave feedback like my communication and confidence level is good and project wise I'm having good knowledge and coming to concept wise it's not upto the mark for experience. So my query is will they call me for next round?I really wanna get selected since Deloitte is mydream company

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏

Why do partners feel the need to speak when they obviously have very superficial knowledge about the topic?
