I’m fairly new to the game and didn’t take any risk off since November. Huge lesson learned, and even though I think the long term bear market continues, there should be a relief rally or fake bounce in the short term before the next leg down. Question: for playing Calls for the relief rally, the VIX is quite high rn so how far of a duration would you play? I didn’t short at all on the way down since I was observing and undertaking the dynamics here, but am ready to get in.

I went from $64k to $116k when I left a prestigious public policy job 4 years ago to become a defense contractor. Given what I know now about this industry, exit opportunities, and what it put me through, I seriously question if I made the wrong choice and/or undervalued myself. Lesson: be very careful about jumping into federal and defense contracting, *especially* with a small company.

Well it’s been heck of a week. Rejected from two start ups, but I guess after enough rejection, I just don’t feel for it anymore. Could be a good or a bad thing. Lesson learned though, I have been chasing payout of joining rather than sitting down and figuring out what I like to do and then focusing on opportunities in that area. This clearly isn’t a winning strategy, but I also haven’t been able to figure out what I like to do. Good luck out there peeps!
