Training someone for two weeks sounds about right. Depending on their experience that may not even be necessary. Assuming they've got some experience, two weeks should be plenty of time to get familiar with anything new to them they might need to know.

And no experience? Do you think two weeks is enough? First mgmt job ever
That sounds right to me. Maybe closer to three if it's a huge store or some complicated processes. But generally speaking, I'd say that's going to be an adequate amount more often than not.

Indeed. I’m thinking three for someone with no mgmt experience
I think it depends. I've worked places with pretty simple procedures and they only needed a couple of weeks of training and then a few weeks of shadowing. But I've worked at other places with really intense P&P and dashboards and they needed a lot more.

You’re right, it depends on how intense the procedures are as well as experience level

Two weeks sounds fair for hands on shadowing, but it also depends on the complexity of the role. Some managers might need a bit longer to really get comfortable with systems, people, and problem solving on the floor.
