How many of you are enabling BAs or other business users to handle low-code automation?

What do you mean by enabling? Training? Granting someone a license?

Advocating for endpoints to internal systems they can leverage. Setting up training and support systems to ensure they can succeed. Building channels for their work to be accessed and reused across the organization. Defining release/promotion processes so that independently built parts can become part of core process assets.

“Citizen Developers” is an idea we are testing out. UiPath has built out a simplified version of their Studio product for them. Looks like it’s going to be a common practice in time.

Not yet giving them that flexibility...they are stopped at process discovery phase..continue to be product owners.. why they want be part of development folks..

It will happen in next 5yrs but now let's survive

Citizen developers is a new concept which Microsoft power platform also moving towards..

This does change a bit from the client perspective for more organic growth

If your BA’s have time to code your life cycles are too long or you are not having BA’s jungle waves

So I work for a small company as a SEM/Director… which in my world just means I am really Lead Developer, Part BA and part product owner as well as reviewing the devs. I came up in this company starting at about SE3 of 5 so the position is just kind of what I made it. I have recently been getting interest from some larger companies like Amazon. Long preamble to ask, what are the day to day responsibilities/expectations of an SEM at a FAANG?
