Hi Fishes, I've accepted offer from Accenture from their portal.. But now got new offer from EY and wants to join at EY. So how can I tell Accenture Accenture India that I'm not going to join them. Rather than not showing up on the date of joining? Can you please guide me? How do I let them know? My talent coach is not reachable

Firstly, 10 years is a long time horizon. In the immediate future, with more vendors entering the marketplace, there will be downward pressure on costs/ licensing. Additionally, to stay competitive, I think majority of vendors are beginning to differentiate themselves with ‘cognitive’ capabilities. With that being said, the vendors that can create a holistic suite will capture majority market share. The RPA market is projected to keep growing and I think the appetitive from businesses is still very strong. However, scaling has been a challenge. The key is having a robust digital strategy, while also doubling down on data and AI, which is what will be relevant 10 years out.
RPA is overrated the way it is now. People need to understand how to use RPA correctly and not just go after buzz words. Unless that changes, we don't see major breakthroughs.
It’s a software ... my god the way companies are branding it as if it’s a robot😜
Great points by D2 and SC1, RPA will need to break from the hype and increase its ability manage more complex tasks. Both of which I think it accomplishes in the short term, 2-5 years.
Longer timeline, the ability to handle unstructured data needs enhancing and the capability to deploy at an enterprise level must increase.
In general RPA should stick to simple tasks and get that right first at scale. If you want AI making multi-million dollar decisions and have 0 accountability with very little track record you will fail fast.
RPA is forcing the existing ERP vendors evaluate their applications and make them comprehensive solutions. It’s going to take time anyways.
Look at this as a stable macro building centrally hosted and documented program. It’s working quite well
I think it'll go places if it is used, like people use Excel. There's a learning curve, but everyone uses it to make their lives better. Getting outside consultants to implement RPA solutions on 30 year old infrastructure, will eventually break everything.
