In my field, results rely on human behavior, so I have found that the 'AI can replace every job' angle to be nonsense. Advertising needs a human touch. Crrativity needs to be relateable. So, instead, I have been looking for ways to delegate parts of the job, while holding onto the areas that benefit from more control.

I tell my team this all the time… as an advisor you need to learn to use the technology to better your practice and become more efficient; this allows them to spend more time in front of clients and prospects… if you resist change, while it may have worked in the past, I’m not sure how the future looks for you around AI…
It’s like ignoring the calculator in favor of cross multiplication and long division…
Or ignoring the computer and live quoting in favor of looking quotes up in the Wall Street Journal, calling the trading desk and filling out paper tickets…
Fear mongering? With AI, most white-collar jobs can be significantly automated - maybe not THIS YEAR but we weren't having this conversation 2 years ago. Once robotics catches up majority of physical labor can be replaced as well. In the next 5 years, nope.
But it is very, very real that workers under 50 will be displaced before they reach retirement. What does reskilling look like for those people? Is 40% of the current work force going to be AI/Robotic engineers?
It is ignorant and shortsighted to ignore the novel impacts of AI and hyperscaled automation and simply write them off as "fear mongering". If you truly believe that, I'll grab a shovel and help you dig your head out of the sand.
People who say AI will not replace them are delusional especially if they have not used AI. The non users will be the first ones to be weeded out. Even if you are an AI skeptic, I would still urge people to use AI, it’s only then that you will realise where your value is and the value that AI cannot replace.

Not using AI won’t stop it from making your position less relevant in the future. Better to use it today to make your life easier and learn more. Those that can effectively interact with and leverage AI will probably be better off years from now.
The reality is 70 percent of our jobs will be replaced in ten years. I do not like or trust AI in any shape or form.

I am anti-AI, but ended up using it accidentally the other day. I'd heard of the "hallucinations" but had assumed it meant minor errors like a restaurant closing time being wrong. As I went along, it got more and more horrific--making up facts and details to fit its own narrative, even after being prompted to say "I don't know" instead of lying. When I called it out, it apologized for "panicking," which is an emotion it can't have. Truly scary that large firms and decision-makers are relying on this technology. Entire conversation used a shot glass of water!! (With very little benefit beyond "know thy enemy.") The entire interaction left me very sad and angry about the state of the world and our future.
Yup, feels greaat being gaslit by kool-aid-drinking corporate execs. And the result of any attempt to push back is a frustrating reminder that "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it" - Upton Sinclair
I do for sure!! They have Babel that is trying to connect to ppl trying to teach AI to be natural! You have to go on camera and have convos and they record your voice and natural movements! Im 😱 scared!
I have many clients that have employees that give all sorts of reasons to not use AI. The primary, general reason is, "I'm used to doing things my way."
I've done talks discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly about AI. It's far from perfect, but it's a technology that's here to stay just like automobiles did over 100 years ago.
I even taught my wife how to use it so she could keep up with the new world. She is VERY happy she wasn't too stubborn.
Trick has been learning how to use it as an assistant rather than a replacement.

I’ve tried using it. So far, I don’t think it’s going to replace anyone. Maybe I need to use it more
I've used Ai as a creative and currently, it's not a worry in the immediate situation, but it is a concern. Considering how fast it's been improving, it can easily start having a more discerning/designer's eye over the next few years. Right now some things feel generic and copycat (nature of trends and art) but considering the training it goes through and if it's actually learning at a rate newer designers can't keep up with, why wouldn't creatives be worried? They lose some of those junior level tasks to AI. But I think schools will just have to push for creation tool proficiency, strategic thinking and how to truly use AI as an assistant rather than a replacement. Hidden benefit: people's vocabulary just might be forced to extend. I'm still trying to figure that out myself. 😅 It's definitely a slippery slope.
