I always have faith that everything will make sense, and we will move into a better era. Sometimes it's challenging to maintain that faith, but it's always there.

I am so tired of being treated like an assistant and I’m at a loss on how to correct it. My coworkers are generally nice, but while I watch white (usually male) associates at my level or even more junior get substantive work, I’m still receiving administrative tasks as a mid-level. Coronavirus family drama - supposed to take a vacation to OCNJ in two weeks with the in-laws, two brother-in-laws and their wives. MIL is super worried about the virus. Wants everyone to isolate and get tested. We are. Already doing this, but no testing. Debating whether it’s even worth it to go anymore. One of the primary aims of the criminal justice reform movement is to help ex-convicts re-enter the workforce by sealing criminal records, and making it more difficult for employers to judge applicants based on criminal history. The idea is that people are redeemable and capable of reform. Yet the same movement thoroughly enjoys getting people fired and publicly shaming them for making arguments they find “offensive”. A rapist is capable of reform, but not someone who makes a dumb tweet. Got it.

It’s interesting to see several articles and surveys emerging saying the initial bump in productivity from mass remote working has started to come down or even go negative as the novelty wears off and people start to get worn down from longer hours, the stresses of having kids at home full time, burn out from increased workloads, stress from the pandemic, etc. Curious to here people’s thoughts, do you think you’re less productive now than back around the April timeframe?

I am not sure who needs to hear this but exactly one year ago, I was at my lowest point in life. Today, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Life has truly been a rollercoaster these past few years for me.

I am sharing this to tell you that no matter what you’re feeling right now, it won’t last. Even the happiness I feel right now, I’ve had that stripped from me multiple times. That is LIFE. We have the good and the bad.

Hang in there if times are bad. If things are good, prepare to lose it too.

Living in my parents house, which NEEDS a makeover. What do you guys do to make your house look cozier? My parents house is tiny, low ceiling, and no seperate on between kitchen and the living room. It literally looks like a grandma house.

Should I just use catalogs? Or should I hire an interior designer? Do you have any tips? My biggest issue is that it looks disorganized no matter what because there’s no distinction between when the kitchen ends and when the living room starts
